Was this created only using the iron? Amazing! Hope you will drop by the Encaustic Group and discuss your techniques with us! cj

Melinda Etzold replied:

CJ, For the sky I put my encaustic paper over the iron and I used a sponge roller to roll my melted wax into the sky. The rest is done with just the iron. Thanks. Melinda

Melinda Etzold

Originally from Bisbee, Arizona, I have always loved the southwest. I have been a resident of El Paso, Texas, for over twenty five years now. I enjoy painting in many mediums. I love painting in pastels and watercolors but I also enjoy painting with encaustics, acrylics and oils. I love to paint the desert landscape while using a lot of bright bold colors. I love to take a sketch book with me wherever I go and I am never bored!
