Originally from Bisbee, Arizona, I have always loved the southwest. I have been a resident of El Paso, Texas, for over twenty five years now. I enjoy painting in many mediums. I love painting in pastels and watercolors but I also enjoy painting with encaustics, acrylics and oils. I love to paint the desert landscape while using a lot of bright bold colors. I love to take a sketch book with me wherever I go and I am never bored! Associations: El Paso Art Association, El Paso Pastel Society, Past President The Plein Aire Painters of El Paso, President

Was this created only using the iron? Amazing! Hope you will drop by the Encaustic Group and discuss your techniques with us! cj
Melinda Etzold replied:
CJ, For the sky I put my encaustic paper over the iron and I used a sponge roller to roll my melted wax into the sky. The rest is done with just the iron. Thanks. Melinda
